Needed:[greatlakes] experienced jeep mechanic,metro detroit

Hi,

I'm looking for a very recommended and experienced Jeep mechanic. I need to find someone by the beginning of February. I need my motor replaced. I plan on buying a remanufactured motor from a local company (comes with warranty). But I need someone to pull my old one and install the new one. I have to drive the Cherokee to traverse city by February 20th.

I don't care if it's a shop or someones garage as long as the person is highly recommended and experienced.

Thanks in advance.

It's really not that bad of a job to do yourself, with a few extra hands. Cherry pickers can be rented for around $40 a day if not less. Take your time pulling the old engine out and label everything you disconnect, the toughest part of the job was getting the damn etorx bolts off.

I can get a cherry pocket no problem. I will have to use hand tools because i don't have air tools. I've never done it before. On top of that i work two jobs.

I agree...it really shouldnt be that tough of a job. My first motor swap was on a 2001 VW GTI. Talk about a PITA with different years having different sensor connectors.
I haven't done a complete motor swap on this, but would be willing to help. I would think we could have it done in a a couple saturdays...
