I grew up in Montcalm County near a state game area. In the 60's we used to go on the trails there with everything from bicycles to tractors to 4wd's. Around 1970, the state came in and plowed up one of the open areas we used for camping (to keep trucks and bikes out) and tore out trees to make fire breaks (there has never been a fire there). Now they have put up gates to keep you out. I found this out this spring when I wanted to take the Jeep back there to see it again. I haven't been back there in 20 yrs.
While I wouldn't knowingly go somewhere illegal, I understand what gasitstupid is saying.

Default FYI

I'm only bringing this up, because no one else has said anything, or confirmed campsites etc.

The camping site only has 5 sites. 2 vehicles per site, not including quads and boats etc. There is currently a Statewide burning and Fireworks ban, that may or may not be lifted on June 21st.

The sites also have to be reserved with the US Forest Service @ 10.00 per night I think.

If these "rules" are not followed...I cannot participate. Mostly the site rules....

I'm not trying to be a dork. I just can't violate the rules, especially ones on Federal Land.

if you need directions to give me the beating i deserve, im just down the road and i will give em to you. make sure you threaten all the locals.. they love it...
the rest of you have fun!!!
Dude I just want to apologize immediately for what was said it was inappropriate and uncalled for we have all done dumb **** in the past whether it be on our own or helping out a friend I completely understand I think that a certain member of our group needs to watch what he says you have no idea how pissed off I am right now

As far as being reserved they are first come first serve when they say reserved they mean someone on site with a envelope placared on the post I will be up there by noon no problem they have a large parking area where we can park all the vehicles no worries so they won't be on the sites the campground is an unsupervised rustic camp with a drop box for payments I have thought about all the rules Ted and trust me I wouldn't knowingly break them as far as the fire and fireworks ban if it is a situation at that point we will deal with it no worries man
