I swear, as soon as I started modding mine, i've been seeing hooked up xj's everywhere around here. Stockers are a dime a dozen but lifted, armored and racked xj's were few and far between. Now they are everywhere.......awesome!!!

You guys will probably never see my XJ unless it's on a trailer, but you might see my truck. I drive from Brighton to St. Clair Shores very often.

You don't notice them as much until you lift your own. I never noticed many lifted XJ's until I lifted mine almost 8 years ago. Then I noticed them everywhere, starting that very night.

I work in SCS all the time. I live about 15 minutes north. Yeah, you definitely see more once you mod your own.

I have to agree on seeing more once you start modding, I am jeep number 4 and the first 3 were stockers.
Now i have a 97 xj with up-country springs 2" teraflex spacers and autozone shackles in the rear running on 31" Bfg
Now I noticed modded rigs like they stand out like a sore thumb.
I am Near Lakeside mall/Partridge Creek so I see a lot of M-59 traffic
Once I am recovered from My up coming Neck surgery, I want to start building the rack and mounting lights.
I need to learn how to weld, as I would love to make custom bumpers. I have access to a mig welder (flux core) and I love working on my jeep, I just have to be careful because of my back and neck injuries I am limited to what I can do
Maybe we could get a Metro Detroit get together for Xj's??
