Its definitely a nice upgrade. Especially when you have already worn out steering components.

Here's the finished product. I think I'm going to use a Goferit sleeve and go over the knuckle on the drivers side.

I say goferit lol

I'm planning on building a 1-ton tre steering (UTK) for my 99 next year.

I already have IRO OTK kit for my 91 wish I would've waited and just went to WJ knuckles and over the axle trac bar now.

I'm probably gonna offer my 91 up for trade when it's all done.

I was going to get the serious steering, but I didn't think it was necessary for what I use the xj for. Having that issue with the steering wore the passenger tire down noticeably. I rotated them, but I see new tires in my future. I am thinking about bfg 33 x 10.5. I have a ton of fender space and the 31's look like skateboard wheels.

I did the same thing late in the summer this year. I went ahead and replaced everything. Drag link and all. Right now I don't have a steering stabilizer on but haven't had any issues so far

Now that I have rotated the tires and drove around a bunch, I think it needs a new draglink and associated tie rod end. It's still tons better than before though! My new project replacing all the ujoints and centering ball in the front drive shaft.

I still need to install my front drive shaft, so the ride to take my son to school was like World Rally Championship 2013!

Did a donut in a parking lot.

Wish I could do some wheeling in it.

I climbed a couple parking lot snow piles: got dirty looks from the plow trucks! It was worth it!

I went to get the Spicer parts to rebuild the driveshaft at Joint and Clutch, it was about $110 for 3 1310 series ujoints and 211355x, the yoke. I didn't buy it though, they are going to rebuild it for only a little more than the cost of the parts. That way, they can balance it and I don't have to work on it in the cold garage. I can manage bolting it back in place though! Hahaha!

Does anyone have an extra front driveshaft? The pin in the cardan joint on mine is fried. Thanks!

Can't help ya there, but I can tell ya pick a part has them. Was just there recently and tons of good donors out in the yard. Pretty sure they are cheap too like 25 bucks or something like that

$39.95 for a front driveshaft at PAP.

That's what I paid back in the summer anyhow.
