So I see we are growing in numbers, but they're not saying HI in here and such...

So....
I think we need to pro-actively hunt them down and get them over to here...

I've seen a few from IL, NWIN, the S. Bend/Misha area, etc... If it's within an hour of us, let's hit 'em up!!!

FNG LOL! It's going to be a while but at some point I will be looking to meet up with some of you and see what this XJ can do. There is a ton of work to do though, I bought a rough one. One thing I notice, there are TONS of cherokees around chicagoland. One thing that REALLY helps promote car forums= stickers. I'd sport a cherokeeforums.com sticker on my XJ.

I love car forums. I have 10k+ posts on my favorite board, I co-own a BMW bulletin board too.

I'm waiting on my stickers to arrive....
A rough one? A ton of work? Welcome to the world of Jeep my son....
There is never a time where I don't have something I can do to keep the things running...
Here's an example:
I needed brakes, I finally fixed them, but then it overheated for no reason on the way home. It got cold so I waited, and it froze (The whole engine was a block of ice frozen.), thawed out enuff for me to work on it a bit. Didn't help it, froze again (Yep, whole thing again). Just finished replacing the thermostat and the new belt. Still needs a trans fluid change, an oil change, a rad flush, heater core blow out, lift kit re-installed, new tires, rear brakes, complete tune-up, U-joints all the way around, new steering, new ball joints, a section of the roof replaced, 2 little rust spots fixed, new flares, the fenders fixed, the nose fixed, and a valve cover gasket...

And that's just the '98.

The crazy thing is that you will end up spending more on maintenance than you ever will for a lift. It feels like I am restoring a classic sometimes.

Oh, ain't that the truth... I'm so busy with the XJ's I can't find time to work on my GMC... Then again they might be planning that...
