just moved here and just got 93 xj 4 door 5 speed 4.0 engine.gonna be looking to wheel n mud some in future..once get better tires..lol.

Close enough. You got a few good places to go all within an hour drive.
491-Demossville, further up north.
DTOR- Trimble County, close to Carrolton
Horseshoe Bend- Owen County, also fairly close to Carrolton

I personally prefer the last two, especially Horseshoe Bend. DTOR is great, but they've been building the place up so it's all about the bigger, badder rigs, and last time I was there they've lost most of their stocker-oriented trails. Horseshoe Bend is fairly new, and a great bunch of guys running it (DTOR too for that matter), but Horseshoe Bend is cheaper, and usually less crowded, and they've been trying to add in some cool trails and obstacles.

491 had some nice challenging terrain the 1 time I was there, but I had a bad experience, and haven't been back since (just went on a holiday weekend, and couldn't handle the drunks). Plus, it's pretty far from me. Have a friend that runs it a lot, and they like it. I'd say give it a try on a slow weekend.

All of them have mudholes, if that's what you're looking for. They also all have websites.
