Where to trail ride near Houston, TX

I live north of houston and would like to know where I could drive my jeep on some trails (offroad) any help would be greatly appreciated

where exactly are you? i know there's General Sam's Offroad park in huntsville. and if ur willing to drive across houston there is a place called downsouth offroad park in crosby

here are the websites

I live in Cypress, and Huntsville would be the easier one to get to

Anyone else know of any places?

There is also www.creeksideedge.com in Splendora. That and the two other ones listed are the only legal wheeling places around houston.

How is creekside? Ive never been but ive wondered how it is. Its alot smaller than the one in crosby just wondering if its just as fun

In my opinion its way better than crosby. Yes crosby is bigger, but all the trails there are very easy. None of the ones at creekside are hardcore, but there are a few that will scare you pretty good. There are some good climbs, ledges, off camber, and even mud if you want it.

General sams is good especially right now during the drought. But any other time, be warned there are holes out there that will swallow your jeep unless your running 54's

cornrush 10-19-2011 03:34 PM

This is one of those holes and this was about three weeks ago another time and it would probably be up to the windshield
