Hello everyone, I want to invite everyone out to Truck Night at Lamppost Pizza in Round Rock (just north of Austin) on Monday night (Feb 1) starting at 7pm. I know this is short notice but I just found out about it last night.

We have this event every month and the crowd has grown each time. It is co-hosted by me (Lamppost Pizza) and 4WheelParts of Austin. It's a good time to just hang out, have some pizza, drink some beer, and check out everyone's rides.

This is not limited to just Jeeps, although they usually are the most common vehicle. (Last time we had a group of Dodge turbo diesel folks.)

Generally, 4WheelParts brings out their RTI ramp and anyone can have a go at it if they'd like; BUT, the truss on the axle is broken and the thing currently bobs all over the highway so it may not make it to this meet.

As far as food, etc., Lamppost usually provides one or two party pizzas and provides a discount to anyone attending truck night. 4WheelParts brings out shirts, decals, and so on and sometimes has a raffle for other items like gift cards.

So again, this all goes down at 7pm. I understand this is short notice and I will be sure to bring it up sooner next time. Thanks guys, I hope to see you here!

dood i hope you have a better turn out with your folks down there then i have with people in NC.

 

We may actually do another one in a couple of weeks. This one happened on such short notice that they may just do another. I will keep this post updated when I find out more...

Alright everyone, TOMORROW NIGHT IS THE NIGHT (Monday March 29th). We will be having Truck Night again up at Lamppost Pizza in Round Rock. People usually begin showing up around 7pm and anyone is welcome to stay as long as they'd like. The RTI ramp has been fixed and WILL be present tomorrow night so bring out your Jeeps (or anything with four wheels, really) and let's see what you've got.

We will try to start having these every third Monday of each month.

Hey are there any clubs/meetings in Austin?? Im in the Kyle area and Round Rock is a little too far!!

 

maybe you and I can just get together and start our own little south chapter! I'm in Kyle too.

 

If it makes anyone feel any better, we're about as far south in Round Rock as you could be. I mean, I live in Austin and it takes an easy ten minutes up 35 to get here. No worries.

no, RR is a ridiculous destination, only because one must go through Austin, or pay the toll road fees. I was downtown yesterday at 2pm and the traffic was already stopped. Can you say "Free Parking in Austin on IH35!?!?!"

I'll try to make that event one of these days, but not likely to be a regular thing for me
