That area is going to be a small town atmoshpere, not very big and definitely not much to do there, but there is plenty of off road places. Cavanaugh mountain is right in town and usually easy to get to and from but most of the trails are more on the extreme end of rock crawling vs daily driver/weekend warrior. There are plenty of other places within a hour or less to go play in the rocks too.

Not too far from Clayton, OK (wheeling) and Fort Smith, Ark (Superlift ORV Park).

As far as job market, I am not sure. May get some better answers at http://www.city-data.com/ or http://www.cityprofile.com/forum/ .

Just saying hi!

I am from Newcastle, OK and I have a stock 2001 XJ that I absolutely love. It has taught me many things about cars (and car repairs!)

Really? Your CJ was rougher then my Cherokee?

In seriousness, I suppose that makes sense.

The Cherokee is running great. It had the heat soak problem that throws the 3rd cylinder misfire, but I know not to tow things much anymore, and not let the engine heat soak. Other then that, and some other small things (vent tube from front diff getting caught in the front driveshaft), it has been very good.

Guess I'll get in here, even though I don't have my Cherokee just yet. It's waiting to catch a ride to N.E. Okla. with a car hauler. I'm gettin' stoked about it already!!

I'm new to Jeeps and live straight east of Tulsa. Don't know just how much I'll do with my XJ, but I'm really looking forward to it.

Here it is. All stock. '95 4.0 5-speed manual. Was used as a commuter. Now it's mine and it's going to go camping, fishing, playing, and I'll drive it back and forth to work, too. I MISS driving a 5-speed. Getting completely sick of my auto tranny pick up!!

Inola, straight east of Tulsa between Catoosa and Chouteau. I'm up at Skiatook Lake with my kayak fishing all the time, or Birch lake. Can't wait to take the XJ up there!!

Hey! Im in jenks, just across the arkansas river from tulsa. I actually dont have a cherokee yet, but ive been to a couple of wheeling parks where ive seen some really mean ones. I love them, and im planning on getting one ASAP. Kinda suprising to see so little OK members.

Yall are right down the road from me. Hopefully I can have my fsj ready to take out soon. My shift linkage is out so I'm just going to put a floor shifter in it . Then I need to put new gauges., thermostat and regular tune up stuff. It's a 78 cherokee chief with the amc 360 , 36x13.5x15 irok swampers , 6inch skyjacker
