Ive been experiencing some hard popping and grinding when going straight down the road ..ive replaced cv axles front.rear bearings and all ujoints...i assume its in my rear dif ..as i also think it could be something wrong with mychoice of ride.but ive had this thing for 2 years now and love working on it..just stumped and need to know if anyone can help me fix this.. Thanks

It could be a worn out clutch pack in your transfer case. Does it do it when locked in 4WD?

See thats kinda what i thought...but i just replaced the tc with another one (used) but when i. Did the rear dif the spider gears have markings on them but i figure its from hard accelerations..its a all time 4wd so not a clutch plate.

i dont drive it hard but it also has over 200,000 miles ..my concern the way it pops like something is catching and about to lock up or break and i dont get it...everything seems solid

When those fluid couplings get worn, that is what they do. Catch and pop

maybe try greasing the splines of the rear driveshaft where it slides in, just to eliminate that
