How's the wheeling in Avondale, LA area?
 

So looks like i will be coming out to Avondale Louisiana area later this year for a few months and was contemplating grabbing a Jeep to play on the weekends with. Is there some decent wheeling within an hour or two of there? Looking for some trails, rocks, etc.

Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Check out Red Creek NOLA. I guess a lot of people go out to the spillway also. I am new to the area and to my Jeep so I cannot give you a review on either.

Finally got a free second to check the place out you mentioned. Looks like a fun place to check out. Have you been there? Is there trails/rocks and more than just mud pits? I would like to do some trail stuff, not just mud. Mud is cool and all, but want to do some flexing and crawling. ;)

I have personally not been there. Not sure you are going to find to many rocky trails in this part of the country. We are just lucky enough to have a few places above sea level and hard enough ground for roads.
