Yea lots of folks use Facebook now. I do not.
I can say that I see 3-5 Cherokees weekly in the Conroe area and in fact kinda raced one the other day. Nice to see folks still building them out as he did.
I was driving mine back and forth to work from the town of Montgomery to downtown Houston, sky scraper downtown, every day but the gas was killing me.
Mine is the slightly beat up white with a bar front bumper square rear for the spare on a 4.5 lift and 33's I geared it to 4.56 and though she runs fine doing 2500 Rpms at 65 is not what I call ideal so I'm going g to put some 4.10 gears and test em out. 289k on the engine e you gotta be nice to em

ahhh that damn fb! i'm just getting mine up and running again, after replacing the heater box / ac condenser in the dash, adding a few mods, and putting in 3fan electrical cooling. hopefully will have her running again in tip top shape. I think I might have met you before at one of the meet ups we had @ sonic!

hey houstonians.
I got my first cherokee a few weeks back.
a 96 with a 97 front clip on it.
it's no beauty queen, but i'm having fun with it.
in the middle of doing a 4" lift.

long shot.. but saw a lifted blue 4dr this morning right outside my neighborhood.
had a gutter mounted roof rack with 4 lights up top.
looked to be about a 4-6" lift on possibly 33s
snorkel
super clean looking (as much as i could see at 5am this morning)
would be sweet if he/she was in here!
Champions/Vintage park area on Cypresswood and 249

Come on... let's wake this thread up.... I don't see many XJ's in H-town since I moved here... most days my old XJ is the oldest vehicle on the road that I see... so kinda makes me feel a little nostalgic lol.
So who of y'all are within shootin' distance of this metropolis?

Still around, but the Wagoneer needs some love. Last startup and trip around town the fuel pump was screaming and engine bucking at higher speed or throttle...

@RocketMouse hey man, you need to change your location. i saw south texas and thought you were near me somewhere. you are in east texas. if you head up a bit north of spring, you should find lots of jeep guys and places to go out having fun on the trails. when we moved to texas, many many moons ago, we moved to lake Livingston. there were all kinds of fun places to go off road and all kinds of four wheel drive guys to hang out with. i see tons of east texas jeeps on facebutt, too, still

So you are on the side with no places for off roading? They only have the beach here, and no way do I drive in the beach. I have lived on the beach for many years and lost vehicles to rust so not doing that
