Spring break dilema
Its my senior year and I really want to take a trip to go somewhere to wheel. I have a 98 4.0 lifted 2" in the rear and in next few weeks 2" in the front. Problem is that my parents think I will break down out of state and I won't be able to get it fixed. What are my chances of a catastrophic failure while lightly wheeling? I will be towing a pop up camper but I have a trans oil cooler installed.

As long as the engine trans and transfer case are in good working order, and everything else with your axles is in decent shape, you should be fine. Especially with those small tires. But it sure doesn't hurt to bring spare stuff and a toolkit.

Yeah, and try to convince a buddy to g with you, always nice to have someone to pull you out when you get 'adventurous'

My friend has a 2000 4.0 with a 3.5" lift. I'm sure I could convince him to come.

That would be best, other than that just wheel with common sence, dont show off but dont be affraid to try things just know when to give up.
