Here in Rapid City. Would like to go out on a few trails if anyone is interested. Don't really know many/any trails around here so would like to follow some one that does.

I know of some trails and I am in Rapid. I haven't been out in awhile though and hear that they now require trail permits for vehicles. Anyone gotten "pulled over" on the trail for not having one?

I trail all around hot springs to pringle and sometimes up on pilger mountain near edgemont without any problems...all forest service land, and some pretty decent trails.

Last time I checked they were 25 at the ranger station in rapid and I didnt have enough cash with me (all they accepted was cash) so I didn't get one. Been thinking about getting one lately though just been too lazy.

How big are they? I was thinking they were about the size of a park pass which wouldn't be too bad. I guess I haven't seen someone with one yet. I really don't want to put a huge sticker on my back window.
