possibly becoming a mn resident!

hi guys, my name is greg :)

my gf moved out to zimmerman mn from wi. i might be floowing suit with her and moving in. now i have a few ????

im looking for places to offroad. back in wi there is a spot that is free to run around at will anytime of the year. i know mn has a offroading fee that is good for 3yrs which is no big deal. i saw iron ridge offroad park and was wondering about that place. they had a $279 fee for the use of the park ??? or is that for having an instructor with you?

any other good places to go?

club meets?

buying the 3 year pass and your rig passes the sound test gets you into the park at Gilbert or Appleton. No more $$ needed. there is a guy who has an off road driving school who does his classes at Gilbert, but that is not required.

if you do move here, join the MN4WD Association -30 bucks a year . they have events for members only.

Do some research on the association before you join. My club does not belong to them for many reasons I'm not going to talk about on the internet. Events for members at Dresser, Wisconsin?! Makes me laugh.

Gilbert is the only hardcore legal wheeling area in MN. Springtime will bring the opening of the first and currently ONLY Grant in Aid ORV trail in Eveleth, MN about 4 miles from Gilbert. The whole trail will be labeled black diamond and is built on natural terrain. Check out Mesabi Mountain Trail thread under land use and legislation on MN-Jeep.com.

Off my phone and on the computer, figured Id throw up a link to the Mesabi Mountain Trail Thread.

This is a great forum to know whats going on MN wheeling wise. (mn-jeep.com)
