Wouldn't it be cheaper to put in a used motor? Here in Maine there are lots of Cherokees that you can get for a song with good motors but too rusty for an inspection sticker. I have one! As your also in the salt/rust belt, bet you can find one cheap, mine was free.

It might also be a good idea to look at a shirt block or long block. Typically you get a warranty with them which is always good
