Newbie looking to further his experience with Jeep life.

So I have a Jeep Cherokee Xj that I am no longer driving and my brother is in need of the head for his Jeep that houses the thermostat. My question is are they Interchangable. The model I have is an Xj year 2000 and he has the Cherokee sport year 1995. Thank in advance concerned brother.
