Any Iowa Boys out there?
I know i cant be the only iowa boy with a Jeep thing out there. I would love to meet up with some more guys and have a wheeling trip somewhere in iowa. Even making a club or joining a club would make me greatly happy. Hopefully i get some responses in here. Thanks!

hey man i live in southern iowa and me and my friends are trying to start a jeep club here. we have about 8 of us in our town but would like more. But its going kind of slow, probably because we all picked the same time to do our lifts but yeah soon we'll all be more than willing to wheel anywhere around. where are you out of?

Thats awsome man. I have the only lifted XJ in my town but there are a few other jeeps around with lifts and tires and some other mods. Let me know if you ever wanna wheel or something like that in my area or have something planned. I would try to make it no doubt about it. I am over by the des moines area. 50 miles east of des moines to be exact.

Ah i have been there before. Really isnt too far from here. Ah nice ive seen a few lifted xjs around in my area. Kinda rare tho. Or im just not looking hard enough haha. And theres a few level B roads and this farm that one of my dads friends wheels at. Going to see if i could go wheel up at that farm with my dads friend. Would be great deals of fun. Sounds like you have a nice jeep from the sounds of that lift.
Also sorry for the extremely late response. I have been busy lately with school and work and my girlfriend.

Des Moines here. Just getting into the jeep thing. Biggest prob is having no indoor space to work on my 1990 XJ. Freezing fingers off working in the driveway is no fun!

Upgraded the ground wiring. Rusty's intake tube and k&n filter. Push in filter in place of the front vent hose on the valve cover. Just installed Ford #19 yellow top injectors yesterday. Did that because of #1 injector leaking. Collecting the parts to convert to open cooling system including new 3 row CSF all metal radiator. Trimmed front and rear fenders. Custom hd rear bumper is en-route. Radiator is to arrive today. Gonna paint the whole exterior with bedliner. Trying to decide if I am gonna do square tube rocker replacement or boatside rockers. Almost have all the pieces to upgrade all the charging system wiring to 2AWG cables and custom build a harness for the upgrade to H4 headlights.

Indianola? You wouldn't happen to be the person that has the ads on craigslist for XJ specific parts, repair services and lifts? I do have a custom rear bumper coming in on Friday that I need to paint before I can install it and I have no place to paint it that is warm enough.

Good guess on my part. The bumper is suppose to arrive on Friday. Not sure when I will have some free time. Family and work keeps me busy. I would like to cut and tuck the rear quarters before I put the bumper on. When are you normally available?
