4X4 Shop in KCMO Area
Hey guys I'm looking for a good 4X4 shop in the Kansas City MO area, I have a lift I would like to get put on but since I have a broken ankle cant seem to do it on my own, and no I'm not wanting to wait 6 weeks to get my lift on either. So I was wondering if anyone knows of any good shops around that I could take my ZJ to and have this done.
Thanks, Michael |
hey man, unfortunatly the only shops around here that could be considered a 4x4 shop is chuxtrux. otherwise the closet actual shop i can think of that is 4x4 speciality is 4x4Land in topeka. this is a awesome shop but there may be a wait to get it done, and i can see getting the jeep there being a problem. i work for Sallas Auto Repair, we have a shop in KCMO and one in Overland Park, KS you can give the KCMO shop a call at 816-765-6060 and ask them if we can install the lift for you. also what is the problem with the axle?

Thanks! There is no problem with the axle the problem is with my ankle, I broke it a few weeks ago playing soccer with some friends and I really just do not want to wait to get the lift on, however now I am in a walking boot that can be removed so I am hoping to be able to install this lift on my own or with help from others just not needing a shop I hope.

If you wanted to do it without a lift the three guys in here besides you all did our lifts by ourselves so we could probably give you a hand on it

There is a guy in Lee's Summit who owns a shop (I think it is/was in Joplin). He does stuff part time out of his house at the moment, but seems to know his stuff and is a super nice guy. Sells a bunch of Jeep parts and is a serious off-roader. I just bought a receiver hitch for my XJ from him, and while I was there they were lifting a JK. He would definitely install your lift, but probably cost about $300 or so.
I'll PM you his number... I don't want to post without his permission. Greg |
Your guy's help would be awesome it's a 2 3/4" BB for a ZJ I would rather do it myself with help from people who know what they are doing rather than pay someone if possible.

Yes it's just a spacer lift no new coils or control arms, I am a college student and that's what I could afford now while saving for a true 4" lift in the future. Arorton PM sent
Thanks |
