Tucson - Stolen Red XJ

3 Attachment(s)
I live in Idaho but maybe you can help me out. My brother is stationed at Davis-Monthan AF base in Tucson, AZ. His 1992 Jeep Cherokee was stolen last night at the Mission Antigua Apartments off Mission Road last night, 11/24/2014. Police report has been filed but if you could keep an eye out we would greatly appreciate it. We know the most likely outcome of this, but figured it's worth a post to get some extra eyes out there.

It is red in color, is lifted 3" with 31" Duratracs, Wilderness Warrior roof rack, tinted windows, and black bed liner on the lower portion.

I would appreciate it guys, and if you see something that looks like it, please call 911 and let them know you have spotted a stolen vehicle, and then either send me a PM or call/txt my phone at 208-866-21-Seven-Five.

Thanks guys.

just saw your post, ill keep an eye out too. luckily im in tucson so if its still in town, ill let ya know. hate to be negative, but unfortunately a lot of stolen vehicles end up in mexico before the owners even know its gone. only a couple hours to the border here.

Thanks for keeping your eyes open guys... the moment he saw it was stolen we all pretty much knew it was a goner.. Just figured it was worth having some hope.

I've been watching craigslist in the southwest portion of the country for parts to start showing up.

The plus is his insurance is working quite a bit with him, looking to cover all the aftermarket parts with proof of receipt obviously... It's a total shame that people feel they need to do this, especially a 20 year old serving his country..

But on a lighter note, he was having problems and getting codes thrown at him lately, the whole reason it was left at the apartment where it was stolen, so hopefully their asses break down in the middle of the desert!

Does he have USAA? If so I can vouch for their service. When I had my last accident they either let me remove any aftermarket parts, or included them in its worth. They handled everything very quick, except for finally sending me my check, but I think that delay was caused by them trying to deal with the dealership to finish paying off what I still owed first. Otherwise, they are awesome!

I believe he has Geico.. Don't know much about them as I have Progressive, but from what he has been keeping me updated with, they are very willing to work with him.

He hasn't gotten it back.. Still been looking for it and so far no luck... Do you have anymore information, as far as where and when?

Thanks for the info. My brother is stationed at DMAFB so thats definitely close to him. If you happen to see it again, could you try and snap a pic?

Thanks again for keeping an eye out!

I'll keep an eye out for it as well. I'm stationed at DM too and grew up here so i'll spread the word around. My brother in law is works for Tucson Police so i'll have him keep an eye out on his runs. Hopefully he gets it back.
