North-Central-Utah Engine and Machine Recommendations

The purpose of this thread is to hopefully get a list of local machinists and engine shops who specialize in rebuilding more than anything else. I know I could look on google, but I'd feel more assured with those who've had first-hand experience with a shop rather than some stranger who's likely shilling and nothing more. :report: I guess first of all there's the big C, Clegg. I've never worked with them personally, but they do a lot of business. Anyone have good things to say there? I'm looking, particularly right now, for someone who does Magnaflux for a decent cost ...or at all, actually. We have two distributors who carry Magnaflux, but I doubt they'd just hand me a list of all the shops that order from them. I want to avoid having to ship anything--paying crazy-ass freight charges--for a test that only takes a few minutes. And unless 80 people from around central utah want to chip in $10 each for a tool, I think a thread like this would be beneficial. |
