JU is hit or miss, you can call and get a price quote and then go down to pick it up and the price is $20 bucks higher or they're just plain rude.

u pull and pay is cheap too

BeastXJ 10-25-2009 08:34 PM

Have had pretty good luck finding stuff there

Lots of JY XJ's

I was just at the pull n pay on Colfax and Tower. They got about 15 XJs ranging in all years. Most are cash for clunkers so they are stock but at least they aren't wrecked. Found a better back seat and replaced some moldings.

The I would call their bluff on that crap!! They shouldn't give out a quote, and then be higher, that just plain sucks!!

There is another u pull and pay off of tower road

lestatsghost 11-30-2009 10:41 PM

I know of the one off of colfax and tower that has the $2 cover charge. Pull n save has a $1 cover charge.

is this a different one than at colfax? if so how far north on tower from colfax?

Pull N Save on Peoria and 33rd has a $2 entry fee. It's the only one I've hit so far. Their selection changes constantly, I swear I go every week and I won't find the same jeep I was pulling from before. On holiday weekends they're stuff is half price. Thanksgiving rocked. They seem to end up with a lot of automatics though. Every once in a while you'll find a manual. They can be asses sometimes, but for the most part, I go in, get what I find, and pay. I'll probably go check the one out on tower and colfax next weekend just to change my culture up a bit.

pull n pay has a pullathon in the spring, think it's like $20 for all you can carry.

Ju is over priced for used high mile junk parts...they are not as bad as some . But I just laugh when I call these places for parts and they hit me up with a price like $90 bucks for a used d30 hub or $500 dollars for a Jeep trans with 150+k on it ...I think Stadium Auto parts takes the cake for silly-ness pricing on used parts $800 for an aw4 with 100k on it...lol...for that I could buy an entire running XJ...lol

dannanw 07-20-2012 07:16 AM

At least yall have options... Springs has one crappy one and that's about it.

XJABUSER 07-20-2012 03:44 PM

Hmmm I got a used trans (aw4) for 300$ with only 35k miles (rollover) from Stadium. But that was 5 years ago.

1-month ago was quoted $700-800 for under 100k ...and the show stopper $350-400 for 98+ aw4 with 250+k miles on it ...This is not as bad as the quotes I got back in the day when looking for d35 as I got quotes from $500-$900...yes $900 for a stock open 3.73 carrier d35 , the 900 dollar quote was from a yard i can't recall the name of , which was I beleive off washington close to Pepsi ...it was back in 2001 , but $900 for a d35 , and he called back B/C I hung up laughing , and thought I was being dis-respectfull ...lol.

These prices you guys have been quoting are insane! I miss Pull A Part. I was living down in New Orleans for a few years, picked up an '89 XJ down there. If I had done more research I wouldve bought something newer. Anyways, I would frequently go to pull a part on the west bank, good prices, like a complete front axle from a 4x4 including brakes for under 200. Check out their website and price lists, really cheap! pullapart.com Wish they had some locations up here. Is it the area we are in, lots of people into jeeps around here, causing salvage yards to charge unbelievable prices for used stuff?
