Default CO 4X4 Winter Trails

Hello everyone, new guy at the site. I am wondering if anyone has any good winter 4X4 trail recommendations that are not too far from Denver. Roughly a 1-2 hr travel to trailhead tops would be great. Im in need of some weekend adventures and can't think of a place to go thats open, not going to get me stuck in 2 seconds or hopefully not lead to my demise with icy/snowy conditions. Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

Slaughterhouse Gulch is always fun. I ran it with a fellow member (JandDGreens) a month ago.

There is a fun network of trails between Central City, and Alice (Yankee Hill).

Also Cascade Creek, and Ute Creek just outside of Idaho Springs.

There is also a network of trails near Jefferson (Jefferson Cutoff) that I hear is fun in the winter time, but I have'nt tried that yet.

I always use the website (http://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php)
to check out the trails I want to run.
You can also download and print maps of most of the trails in the area off the Forest Service website.

It's always hit or miss in the wintertime which trails you'll be able to navigate, depending on the snow storms.
Be safe, and don't go alone!
