best trail map app

i would like to have the best trail map app that allows downloading of maps for offline use. it will be primarily used in colorado, utah, and maybe wyoming. does anyone have some suggestions?

I've been looking for one as well for Colorado and have had no luck.

Look into Back Country Navigator
I use it all the time, it is a TOPO based map that you can waypoint offline and use to stay on any trail you choose.
There are NO default trails loaded, you have to do the work and map it yourself.

That sounds good. But it would be great if there was one that had maps preloaded. If I already knew where the trails were I wouldn't need a map

i use motion x in the jersey pines.. not everything is mapped but if you choose the google maps look ypu can see most trails even if they aren't named..

plus you can tack where you have been.. its pretty cool..
