i usually go out to queen valley or the rim. but if you guys think a stocker can make it, lets tackle it

nasonguy 10-05-2009 10:36 AM

I guess I'm the only one this far south huh?

bsflipfrontflip 10-05-2009 02:58 PM

I'm down for anything a stocker can negotiate, although I like to try harder stuff just to see if I can make it. Kinda a dumb thing to do since I don't have any recovery points... >_<...

Down for anything really. I just got to get that front driveshaft in like i was saying before, i'll try anything but not too big. Plus mines a daily driver so cain't have to much damage.

I'm here. :)

I am in the same boat mine is a DD so i cant beat it up too much but a friend of mine that i wheel with has a REALLY well built YJ that can handle almost anything so he can pull us out of any mess we get into. i also go wheeling a a lot in queen valley area mostly on the other side of the 60 though Tankerblade. well its not a problem for me to go all over the state to go wheeling i enjoy going around to different places:thumbup:. but as far as difficulty goes i think that the stock Cherokee can handle most of them. its just those one or two places were that big rock is and you don't have as much clearance as you should but its not going to kill the jeep. Just kinda need a rating system but we might want to start off with a easier trail to see what we are all comfortable with.

hey i just got my rig and am just starting to explore, as long as its easy enough a stocker 2wd could try, without too much damage andis a challenge i'm up for it.

bsflipfrontflip 10-05-2009 09:05 PM

well i looks like most of our rigs are pretty capable to do some pretty good trails. Wait tankerblade yours is a 2wd drive? That can make things interesting.

bsflipfrontflip 10-05-2009 09:09 PM

When are you guys open to go out i am open almost every weekend and have nothing to do next week.

ya unfortunately i got the only soccermom cherokee within a 50mile range  not really, but i agree it should be interesting, but i also have a limited slip, so should do somewhat ok.

im open all of next week also, and free some weekends when im not doing training for search and rescue

bsflipfrontflip 10-05-2009 10:02 PM

well does anyone have a particular trail they want to do?

Tankerblade 10-05-2009 10:31 PM

im ready for something new, i think you should pick one or throw some out there that you know of since your heading this haha :thumbup1:

bsflipfrontflip 10-05-2009 11:23 PM

OK um i have done the back way to crown king, Montana Mountain, Box canyon, Martinez Cabin, Highway to Hell, Ajax, Telegraph mine road, a little of Martinez canyon, done some of the trails near Mund's park, and some trail out near saguaro in butcher Jones. I want to do the moss mason i think thats what its call thats out west but thats supposed to be a harder trail. I would like to keep it in the warmer areas i don't have my doors on right now and i am kinda a girl when it comes to the cold. Those are all good trails. Some are more difficult and some are a bit easier but have so forks that have some ruff stuff.

You guys with stockers really should get a Bull Dog Canyon Permit and hit up that trail. It is perfect for stockers and is very close if you live in the east valley.
