trying to see if anyone with a DRBIII can run a scan for my airbag light, im able to drive to you.

after researching some more, anyone that has a snap on, autel type scanner, pretty much professional scanner will work.
avoiding bringing to dealer or some hack. thanks |
Have you tried taking it to one of the auto parts stores? They have scanners there and can scan for you to show codes.... Free.
Also, you can buy an OBDII reader from amazon and then download an app to your phone or tablet to read the codes and also read a whole lot of other parameters from the ECU. I bought the BAFX OBDII reader w/ blue tooth and use the TorquePro app. It was about $20 or something like that for the scanner, and the app is free, or $4.99 for the complete version... Works great and does everything you need. Read codes, clear codes, look up codes, etc... |
You can't read air bag system with regular readers. Need a to be snap on, autel, drbiii.....

Well dang...... learn something new everyday.
