Default ? about heater core

Heater core went out and wondering if anyone has a shop they can recommend or tips on a easy way to do it. Heard it is not fun since the dash has to be removed. TIA David

1. Disconnect battery
2. Remove trim from dashboard and from around steering column.
3. Unplug all the wires plugged into steering column and remove steering Column. There is four nuts that hold column and one bolt that connects it to the shaft. Make sure that once you have the column out that you don't turn the steering wheel for any reason and put back in in the exact same position to avoid damaging the clockspring.
3. You will have to undo three different wire blocks terminals two on the left and one on the right they each have a bolt holding them together. After you remove column and one yellow connector on the dash below where the column was that is the airbag connector.
4. The dash has four nuts holding it in front by the windshield and two bolts on the lower side by the doors. You have to take off the plastic trim pieces on both sides too, one is the cover to the fuse area. You have to pull the bottom out first tilt it up to remove the whole thing. Also make sure you undo the cable that goes from the heater box to the controls before trying to lift it up.
5. You will have to purge the A/C and clamp off your heater hoses or drain radiator.
6. You will only have the 5 nuts holding the heater box in the engine compartment. Make sure you remove the drain hose first or you will think it is stuck.
7. Once the box is out just take your time taking it apart and remove heater core. Make sure you pay attention to how the blend doors are and put back together the same exact way.
