Colorado Springs Mechanics?
Looking for a reputable/reasonably affordable shop to take my 2001 XJ.
The Problem: Alternator died on the way home friday. Installed a new alternator Saturday, crank no spark. Charged the battery for a while thinking I had just drained it on the hour drive with no alternator, still nothing. Got a new battery since mine was still under warranty. Still nothing. Everything on these forums and from internet research pointed me to a Crankshaft Position Sensor. So I went out this morning, picked one up ($94 sensor), got it installed which was a pain in the tuckus, cranked her up, and nothing. Still turns over with absolutely no spark. I'm now to the point where I can't keep buying parts and hoping they will be the solution, and need to get it in a shop to get it running again. I've been in the Springs for a little over a year now but never have taken a vehicle to a mechanic here, always have done the work myself, so I'm looking for any recommendations from you fine folks.
Thanks!
