I'm in Havasu so you Phoenix guys got it easy.

Same situation here on my '95. If you were to let it just sit and idle with the air on it gets real close to the red. Scary to me. The guy I bought it from gave me a all alum. higher capacity (4 core?) radiator and I put it in last weekend. It seemed to help a little bit, meaning normal running around stuff it runs right at 210 or a bit lower if I'm on the highway.

I also put in a bottle of that Water Wetter fluid. Lots of peeps swear by it and it may have helped but hard to say. I think on ANY somewhat older engine, you don't want to see much over 220.

It's like you guys said though, how can you expect anything to run cool when it's a billion degrees out. I measured 153 in my cab the other day. Zoikes!!

Man, I don't know bout post 13. To me, that's too hot if indeed the guage is reading accurate.

Check into that Water Wetter stuff. Easy enough to put in and avaiable at most parts stores. I ran my 95 a few days with the bigger radiator, then put in the WW. I think it helped

Did you install three fan setup to cure issue ? Nothing cools better than factory setup.
