Hey my friends and I were wanting to drive up from Cheyenne to Libby Flats and hit the trail up there for fun. Since we are all stock, figured it would be a cool cruise. Does anyone live up that way? The website says open but the rangers office says still some snow on the roads. Is it bad or should we wait till it is plowed? Thanks for any replies guy!

 

Libby is a fun ride and some good scenerey. You will come out by Owen Might check the opening dates of the NFS. Its been a while since i lived in Laramie, but there might be a seasonal closure in place till may 15th.

 

Thats what we were thinking, but the national forest service website said the area was open. The rangers said it hadnt been plowed yet and might be snow covered still. I just wanted to see if anyone had made their way up there. Im on nights though, so will probably go check it out tomorrow to see how bad it is before some stock 4x4s go out. I have a friend with a 2015 Cherokee and he wants to treat it as bad as mine. XD

 

WYDOT has it shut down till Memorial day. Well, guess ill just work on Jeep this weekend, not drive it. Thanks
