CL is probably your best bet.

I wouldn't do tons unless you are going with at least 40s, ground clearance kinda sucks for anything less. Its not a hard and fast rule but definitely a consideration.

I'm thinking 38's. I would obviously do the shave kit but my look on it is if your going through the work and hassle for axle swap might as well make it as beefy as possible. Otherwise I might do a nine inch and a 44. A guy is selling some on Craigslist right now and that would be the same width as rubicon axles. So I don't know. Anything I do has to have a lot of thought haha as of now it's a daily driver.

Jp magazine featured a jeep with rubicon 44's on it. That is a good option

I guess it all depends on how much you can get whichever set of axles at. The JK ones I like also I'm waiting for my buddy to upgrade his and then I'll swap them in.

That's pretty much what it comes down to. I haven't seen rubicon axles for less that 4000 and for that price I think I could build a beefy set of 1 ton junkyard axles

There's a set I saw on CL and he wanted 3600$ and they were only the D30 and D44 ones. But with that you'll need to beef up the rubicon axles to handle bigger tires then get new mounts and gears, locker etc etc so it probably equals out to around the same to build the 1 ton set.

If only go with those if I planned on 40s or larger.

For 37/38's I'd go with lighter axles. Those *****es are HEAVY

450$ yeah?! Oh man I would probably jump on that if I had the garage space. Buy them now!! Haha

And yeah I wouldn't want to move these things into place let alone move them to my house. I'd throw out my back.
