As the title states, its just about time for the yearly King of the Hammers event. Who is going? I plan on going on Feb 9th. I will probably just be driving around saying hi to customers but if anyone wants to meet up, let me know!

Wish I could make it this year. Oh well, being employed is more important.

Guess that relegates me to the online streams, haha

Really gonna miss hooking up with my buddies out there, one guy lives just across the street from the entrance of Hammertown...everyone in my group congregates there, sets up camp on his property, and then we wheel out to various spots on the race course...cook lunch, drink beer, and just have a great time. We do the "off the beaten path" approach while there. We do venture in to some of the spots near Hammertown once or twice, but I kinda like being away from the yahoos and craziness of Hammertown, TBH....it is crazy how big Hammertown is, and it grows every year...kinda cool to see it, it turns into a mini city out there.

Okay...maybe I'll call in sick, haha

(Won't work, the bosses are all off road enthusiasts too, lol)

Shoot well looks like its just me going then haha. I might be going on the 8th now as some new news came in. Looks like Arnold Schwarzenegger will be landing his chopper on my friends property out there. So I might drop by to say hi.

I'll be heading out there Friday morning early. I went two years ago in my XJ but this year I'm going to drive out in my GF's new to us 2015 Grand Cherokee 4x4. Makes the 100 miles on the freeway a bit more comfortable. Planning to head up to Chocolate Thunder first thing and then probably Backdoor.

Awesome! I will be out there tomorrow for most of the day. I will be using the Lasernut compound as my staging area. But I will probably be at the backdoor for most of the day. If you see me in my white XJ (its got a sticker of a XJ running people over on the back window), swing by and say hi!

Next year come out with me and my group. We avoid the crowds and wheel out to killer spots on the course. It's awesome, and you get to be feet away from the action, with zero retards.
