Nope. I was asking primarily for the benefit of onlookers, so there's a chance I may encounter someone... who I perhaps already know

 

Cherokee has been sitting and not registered for about 3-4 years, vehicle is complete, I bought it with the intention of motor/FI swap to another vehicle I have that is a 4.2 Carb.
I decided to go a different avenue. The older gentleman that I purchased it from said when he parked it the motor was strong and it ran. IMHO, change fluids and gas tank and this
XJ would be ready to run within 2 days of shade tree mechanicatry (?) I have no reason to believe that the engine would not run. If interested I can provide pics via Text/Email since
I have not figured out this forum yet. The XJ is complete and stock, even includes outside tire rack and spare tire. Could be a DD, project or parts vehicle..I have the Pink Slip.

Hello everyone, this is Mike, I work for a local engineering firm specializing in collision reconstruction in the Thousand Oaks area. We are currently working on a case involving a 1999 Jeep Cherokee and in order to study the accident, we need the same vehicle in good condition to do some testing. This will not result in any type of damage or additional required maintenance. We usually work with local dealerships but this particular vehicle is difficult to find. We will need the car for only 1 day and from previous experience, we will most likely return the car the same day.

We will provide documents with insurance to cover the car, the details of the agreement, and the compensation for renting out the vehicle.
