It was lake county. A 350 ticket for speeding when I was overtaking a slow 18 wheeler in a legal passing zone up the long hill to the lake. It ride to talk my way out of it. Obviously he was just filling quota. He watched the whole pass take place and didn't budge a bit. My whole work day was a loss. Hope all you AT&T customers were happy that day to have your cell tower restored to working order. Lol

I would challenge the ticket. It can be a hassle, but of the cop doesn't show up to court, you don't have to pay the ticket. And even if the judge doesn't remove the ticket, they almost always lower the fine a bit.

Whatever you do, take care of it. I came off the mountain one night and got pulled over by Ukiah PD. I thought "no problem". I wasn't speeding, didn't do anything wrong. WRONG. He pulled me over for my license plate light being out !!! AS if that wasn't enough, he handcuffed me and put me in the back seat. Pretty harsh for a license plate light ! Well.... turns out I got a fix-it ticket about 8 years ago for a cracked windshield while driving a girl friends car. Of course she didn't ever get the ticket signed off. BADABOOM. Moral of the story....just be legal at Cow Mt.

By the way....I spent the weekend (it was friday night, go figure!) as a guest in Ukiah. When I got to court, the Judge threw the case out...never did get a ticket for the license plate light.

What a joke. I would have fought it however its a long drive and I would have lost more money taking a day off of work and in gas. Should have scheduled a court date and then went wheeling!

Soon as I move I will be getting my jeep back and I then need some wheeling action. Currently in Emeryville but should be moving to another bay area location sometime this year.

It's a small place. All the trails can be done in less than a half hour. It's a fun little get away spot since it has a few hill climbs. There is one long trail into a valley that's pretty rough if your feeling up to it. I'll post up some pics later from when I went. It's maybe a half hour from mountain view. I don't know how legal it is or isn't, but nobody ever goes out there.

There is a road called "country View". It's off of Mckeen Road(which I think goes all the way to Watsonville). Take Country View all the way to the end and there are some dirt roads that cut around the hills.
