No wheeling events that I know of. I used to live in RWC. Nice XJ. A rear bumper with tire carrier is the next purchase for me.

im in livermore. there are a few XJ's in town that i see often. I DD mine, currently waiting to replace the exhaust manifold ( for a second time!) so i can smog it and then get some tires. But shes on a 2" lift with jks disconnects and upgraded transfer case linkage set up. i'll have to post a pic on my phone since im using the computer at work.

Default Where to wheel and camp

Me and a friend with other xj is in Bay Area San Mateo. We want to do a camping wheeling trip. overlanding I guess is what to call it. what this time of year is a good trip for one or two nights? What might be open off highway 50 or 80? what of the snow conditions? we both are lifted, lockers, 31 or 33 tires, winch, even tire chains (well I have one axle of tire chain anyway) and are ok with fairly difficult trails We do a lot of wheeling camping trips, but it hasnt been in the winter, in Sierras,
so we dont know what the snow might do for making trails impassible. we like remote camping prefered, i.e. quiet nights, no raves next door.

any suggestions for a good site and trail to do in the next month so for a one or at most two night trip, perhaps in western Sierras, or maybe up the Coast, or??

Thanks in advance!
