for today, worked on it a little bit more after work again. needed to replace an upper shock mount bolt that I managed to sheer off yesterday. oops.. haha. figured as long as I was buying a new one I should replace all 4 just to be on the safe side.
next I had to deal with the muffler we cut off yesterday. it was pretty trashed (and was hanging up one of my ebrake cables) so it got chopped. today I walked across the street and bought a cheap little cherry bomb turbo muffler and a bunch of little bits to get it attached and mounted. unfortunately my buddy cut the pipe a little too close to the cat, so I didn't have enough room to install it. so naturally I just said ****it and cut the cat off, and put the muffler there. hahaha.. I just had my inspection done for tabs a couple months ago, so I'm not too worried about it. sounds angry now, and frees up a lot of space underneath for when I inevitably find stuff to shove up under there.
bit of bad news tho.. when we yarded the old muffler I discovered that she was hiding a rusted out hole in my floorboard. .. so now I gotta figure out what I'm gonna do about that. pretty frustrating, but **** happens I guess.

Got my CB installed.... Almost!
Single 4' firestick for now. I have a 52" whip but need the threaded base.
Just need to get ground situated & crimp a spade on hot. Then wrap wires so they don't get kicked around & tie up under dash.
I always wire power to a ignition hot in fuse panel so radio only has power when key is on.
Tried to chase down the cable end for the roof mounted antenna... But had no luck. I did find a ton of aftermarket wiring & relays. That & the 10-12 holes in the dash & console pretty much has me convinced it is a retired police rig.
Also set up for a tow bar up front. Can't figure that one out.... And way low miles for any fleet vehicle. Only 173,000 wonder how many miles were in tow!
