Im going to be doing some work to my xj soon, but I'll be done by then. Most likely will be heading there with buck and such, unless he gets his rig trailered, on the weekend of the 17th.

ODgreen89on35s, what is your real name? It's much easier to plan a wheeling run using real names. My name is Brian but, everybody really just calls me Buck. I've had the nick name for 24 years that I was in the Navy. I will answer to either one. Is it looking like the Brown's Camp run on the 17th of Sept is really going to happen for sure? Also, what is the shortest route into Brown's camp coming from Washington on I-5 south? I did a google search and there is directions from I-5, in Portland, heading out Hwy. 26. Then, there is directions, from Long View, Wa., heading south on Hwy. 30. It looks to me like the fastest and easiest way is to take I-5 into Portland and then just head out Hwy. 26 to Hwy. 6.

Yeah, driving out to the coast and coming in that way is just a bunch of unnecessary driving.

odgreen 08-22-2011 01:16 PM

I'm brandon

BuckB91XJ 08-22-2011 01:19 PM

Wow! just for $hits and grins I googled my entire route from Oak harbor, Washington to the Brown's Camp OHV staging area in Oregon. It is 303 miles and it's supposed to take 5.5 hours. That really isn't all that bad and since most of it is on I-5 south it should be pretty simple. I can just meet up with anybody in Wa. who wants to come along, at an exit right along I-5.

It's pretty much Hwy. 20 to I-5 south to I-405 to Hwy. 26 to Hwy. 6 to F B I Rd. to Saddle Mountain Rd. to Owl Camp Rd./Scoggins Creek Rd. and you're there.

LOL, another Brandon...well...I wheel with a kid named Branden up here in Wa. The guy who built project Full Width. Anyhoo.....so how soon will you know if the Sept. 17th Brown's camp run is a go for sure. As soon as I know, I'd like to put out the word to the CF guys here in Wa. and see who all would want to join me for a convoy down to Oregon.

odgreen 08-22-2011 01:46 PM

BuckB91XJ 08-22-2011 01:47 PM

LOL...okay I think we may have to go with nicknames for all of you Brandons...or at least all but one.

odgreen 08-22-2011 01:47 PM

Brandon+Cherokee=a perfect match! Lol

Sweet!! Do you usually get a good turn out of XJ guys in the greater Portland/northwest oregon area for a brown's Camp run...when the word is put out a ways in advance? I know of at least 6-10 XJ guys who would probably come down with me for this run as long as I put the word out enough in advance for them to get their Liberty cards from their old ladies.
