Default new engine problems??

hey guys. getting codes , 27 is the problem.

here is the scoop. i had the motor rebuilt by a shop that has a great name.i finaly got it all back in, got under it to bleed the clutch and drip drip drip on my head. and it hadent been started yet!! turns out the freeze plugs were installed wrong (or on a friday). long story. they gave a couple options and i said to take it to a shop. fast forward, pluggs are back in and it started. but it aint running to good. blank blank blank!!! and so forth. the motor has some extra junk done to it, punched out, more aggressive cam, double roller timing, 00 intake, and a whole slew of other ****. anyway i got a bunch of codes and 27 is i guess the big one. i did the search on it here and in a few other sites. my injectors have all been rebuilt and the inject wires tested fine. (pulsing as they should). it was suggested that the issue could be with the internals of my distributor??. tested some of the other sensors as well and all seem to be within there scope. so could my 91 computer just not be able to talk with all the junk ive done??? i dont know.

Hey Tom, how have you been doing Buddy? As soon as you mentioned Injector Pulse I was going to ask if you tested the CPS. If it's throwing the CPS code now like you say and it actually is bad, that could be the problem. Man, it sounds like you built the crap out of your motor. I've got a new red Jeep now. My dented old gray jeep had to be put down. You can read your CPS out with a DMM to verify if it's bad. Since you just had the motor all apart and gone through, I suggest tracing the wiring from the firewall down to the CPS. It's at your approx. 10-11 0'clock position on the bellhousing. The reason I say to do that is with 2 different CPS's in a row in my son Chris's jeep the CPS wiring got fried by the exhaust. It has to be very carefully routed around it or it cooks and the wires short out. Since yours have recently been fooled with it might not be a bad idea to check it out.

they will have no choice but to do so. ive had it looked at by 3 diffrent mechs. no one can give me a solid ansewer about all the noise it making. but ive got a lot of opinions. the shop that cut the tabs off the distributor said they had to because they think the timing was not set correctly in the first place. all i know is this thing makes more noise than it did before having it rebuilt.

so the machine shop that built the motor has been out to look at the engine. one of the owners. he was out here for 3 days in a row trying to figure out what the noise was. he said at one point just drive it till it blows and they would fix it. i said uh yeah right! so they sent out another mech to take a look and see what he thought. he listend to it for about 10 minutes and said he thinks there is a mechanical issue with it in hte block. wich is exactly what i said a 3 weeks ago. so instead of getting tabs and gettin the f out of here, it is goin to his shop. im pretty sure its coming out now. wich long story short brings me to the point of this whole post. i just cant belive all the rotton *** luck ive been having lately.

Dude...you did the right thing. You trusted a "professional" shop to provide a service they claimed to be able to provide. You did nothing wrong. Make them do the right thing.
