I decided to keep and install the overhead console I got last weekend in the Jeep to as I've had no bites on it. So I'll be heading back to junk yard for wiring harness then ordering me some fabric for the headliner and overhead console this weekend.

Went up naches trail today. Got a pic of my jeep in same spot about a year later roughly.

Finally got my 4th flare on. These Napier flat flares are sooo much easier to install than damn bushwakers and look much nicer as well. Lots of wheel well room for all for rubbers now...

Lookin' very nice!

Thanks Doug!
Been nice getting to spend time on the little things.

Got new hood on, woohoo no more bent nose one hood. Just a nice shiny hood with a now operating hood light. I'm gonna swap out bulb for LED bulb or wire in a larger one at some point.

Was having an issue with JeepJeep throwing the serpentine belt when I would get on it real good. My bracket that holds the ac pump and has a idler pulley was bent somehow and idler had a lil lean to it I noticed. Swapped out bracket and all is well.
I also swapped back to a old clutch fan instead of ZJ to see if I can gain some mpg back. I had noticed a loss of mpg when I switched over to ZJ clutch fan. Noticed it runs about 5°-10° warmer now.

The overhead console is now in as well. I wired in the dome lights and got it mounted but still need to get wiring harness or wire in digital read out. My jeep came with keyless entry but I didn't get key fob when I purchased it. Need to find a key fob and board cause I'd like to have that.

Pics tomorrow.

A lil late but here is pic of console installed.

Also lowered back of jeep so it sits more level now. Was sitting pretty high in the back. I got so much droop out of my rear suspension its great.

Was real easy to wire in overhead console without the wiring harness.

Here is a few more pics from last wheel trip.

This 3rd pic is a K5 on unknown amount of lift but 40" tires that started with our group. First big mud hole drove in and buried the axles. Haha. Go big and get stuck haha. Cool rig though.

Last pic is The GF, big thanks to her for editing the photos. Really brings em to life and pulls out some detail. She has been driving my rig a lot and is itching to get a jeep or we've been talking about finding a VW Thing and swapping in Cherokee axles and drive train.

Flares

Jeep looks great with the flares.

MoparNJeep 06-05-2015 08:22 AM

Thanks Van_Homan I really like the flat flares. My rims have less offset than most so my tires don't stick out as far and they look just right. The bushwaker flat flares stick out farther than the Napier flares. Just like the pocket flares they are just a lil smaller than bushwakers which I think looks so much better and nice for guys running smaller tires.

Really love how much room they allow for my metric 35s

Those are some really nice trip pics! Looks like you all had fun.

Was a good day of fun. Looking forward to heading over to Naches again for the 4th July.

I ordered all parts needed to get my ac in working order yesterday.

Also did some lens tint on my front marker lights.

Wired my auxiliary fan to factory fog light switch I got at junk yard awhile back.

Any instructions on wiring the OHC without a harness?

MoparNJeep 06-10-2015 03:44 PM

Yeah it was fairly easy. Hardest part was tracking down the wire diagram online. The yellow wire, pink wire and black wire from your overhead dome light wire to the corresponding colored wires on the overhead console.

Now when I got the overhead console I snipped the wires on the body side harness so I had the plugs so I can unplug the console from the body which made it a lot easier to install.

Now the other wires there are 5 of. I only used 3 excluding 2 wires (??????) which where for the outside temperature sensor.

The other 3 I ran down from above headliner down behind pillar trim and behind glove box. I tapped into the body side plug for the overhead console with the three wires.

I'll take a look and a few pics and post them up. Basically it's 3 wire hookup from existing wires from dome light and run five down pillar and spice behind factory plug with corresponding colors. I have a complete write up in my jeep log on which wire does what. I'll post it up here for you
