Default Junkyards for OEM wheels

Hi folks,

Just purchased a 1999 XJ, first Jeep for me. It came with some worn tires on what I believe are Wrangler Gambler 15x8 wheels. I need to get new tires very, very soon but want to find some OEM alloy rims first.

I've been watching the Seattle Craigslist for weeks now but haven't seen a set of good Ecco or Icon wheels in gray yet. Can't put off tires much longer - anyone have a suggestion for other sources for original wheels?

I've searched the inventories on a couple yards but no hits.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Default Or maybe just center caps?

Or maybe someone knows of a source for matching center gray or dark gray center caps for the Eccos. I don't have the wheels so not sure what size the caps are but I've seen several CL ads for wheels without the caps.

If you ever get down to Portland, 205 auto wrecking is all an all Jeep yard. I know they ship too. Check out their website. Best I can do for ya !

Check over on NAXJA too, seems to be more locals over there.

Jeep dealers often have large supplies of take-off wheels. Price is negotiable, around $25 each.

Thanks for the input. May need to go a different direction because the tires I ordered have arrived (BFG 30x9.5x15) at the shop. I didn't see what I was looking for on Craigslist or parts searches at nearby junkyards.

I've looked into buying new wheels with slightly less backspacing. Don't want steel black wheels and the 15x7 aftermarket alloys don't look as good as the stock rims. May throw the new tires on the 15x8 Gamblers that are on the truck now but with the wider wheel I could get some rubbing plus I hate to pay to get the same tires mounted and balanced though.

BTW, shopped eBay for center caps and most of them cost more than I'd be paying for a used wheel!
