'97 Jeep Grand Cherokee Lim. Ed. problems

My best friend and I co-own a '97 Grand Cherokee Limited Edition and it has given us major problems, mostly due to the VTSS...
I didn't learn how to prevent the VTSS from arming until a couple of weeks ago. However, problems still persist even when the vehicle is locked and the alarm is not armed. The most annoying problem is the interior "dome" lights staying on, even when turning off the ignition.
Anybody have any ideas about what to do?!? :brickwall:

Sensor in the door(s) are bad. Typically its the driver door sensor that goes bad. Also could be the timed lighting relay. As a temp solution yank the fuse for the cabin lighting in the fuse panel located on the passenger side kicker panel to prevent your battery from going dead.

I currently own a Grand Crapokee, and the was the only 1 and only issue I had was the door sensor was bad so the car didn't know the door was closed and the lights would stay on.

I'm suffering from the same thing, stated in the original post.
97 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Problem, all interior lighting will not shut off. Additionally, the alarm will not arm.
All door switches are in working order. Doors are closed.
I'm suspicious of the locking mechanisms on driver side...

You can YouTube it and ground the alarm wire by the drivers kick plate

There are sensors in the passenger door and the hatch. When you get in you can bypass the system. Youtube it there is a wire by the drivers kick plate. You grown it and your done.
