92 dunlins run-over on a beach

whats up with the beach bird kill? really gives a black eye to off roading:glare: im sure it was a random act of aszholeness :dunno:

Why does it give a black eye to wheeling? Not sure where it happened but I know a lot of people drive cars on the beaches. Either way it is definitely is a bad thing, that gives the greenies more ammo into closing down areas to anything but foot traffic.

Where did this happen?

ok, on the beaches around Maryland, cars dont drive on em, just 4x4's, so i may have miss-spoke not knowing what can and cannot drive on yer beaches, but if you read the article (msnbc), it appeared to happen with one event, would have to have a big frontal area to kill 92 birds at once?

You realize your posting in the NW region right. As in Oregon and Washington.

After searching cnn's website and all news stations the last report of a mass seagull murder at long beach was January 2010 by a dude in a Chevy Camaro.

So how does this give off roaders a black eye?

gone4x4 12-30-2012 02:16 PM

Not there no. It's a parking lot. Not ohv. Not like sand lake where you have to have a ohv permit. Joe blo in his geo can go on the beach.

Not a dune in site. So it hurts us none.

odgreen 12-30-2012 02:23 PM

It was a *******. Most Likely in a car.

Does not hurt our case at all.

Everything drives on the beaches up here. I pulled a guy out from the tidal area in a brand new mustang he drove straight from the lot to the beach.
As far as killing birds in Washington this guy is screwed, you can kill somebody up here and go to jail for a couple years, spank a dog and you'll get hung by the neck.
