Spare Tire: Interior
 

Always wondered what to do with the spare tire area inside the cab? Wonder no more! This simple little trick is FREE...(unless you have some tie straps lying around).

Tools used:
- 10mm wrench or socket

Start by opening the rear hatch. Locate the bracket that is used in the side wall to pick the spare tire up off of the floor or remember where it tossed it to. You should be looking at something like this:

Take your 10mm socket/ratchet or wrench and disassemble the bracket. There will be (4) 10mm bolts total. 2 in the side wall and 2 in the floor.

Once the bracket is fully detached, flip the bracket around and attach bracket back to the side wall using just 2 of the 4 bolts.

I used a cheap tool set to put inside the bracket to be hauled around, because you never know when you will need them.

If you have any extra tie traps lying around, make them useful. Auto Zone or any care care stores should supply tie straps fairly cheap. You take the tie strap and run it through the bottom of bracket and put the "S" hook to the bottom hole of the side wall tab.

From here, you will find the items that best suit your needs and place them inside the bracket on top of the tie strap. Take the other end of your tie strap and run over the top of the bracket back to the top hole. Pull any left over strap tight and tighten up on the ratchet strap.

Congratulations! You have completed and secured your basic necessities and freed up more space inside your cab. Enjoy.

You may want take a pair of scissors and the cut the remainder of strap off to a desired length. Once you have the length cut, take a lighter and burn the end to keep the strap from fraying.
