Default xj front end repair cost question

hey i was wondering if anybody has had there drivers side fender pushed in about 6inches and that it broke the intake. I just want to get an estimation on the cost. I took the whole front end off and put a new intake on but its just laying on the intake manifold right now. I also tried to put it out with another jeep but no luck. Ill post pics when i get them off my camera

Not sure. Under $400 if you do it yourself? You can get a new fender for under $200 I think.

Eeeek. That'd be tough, it bent the frame in. I couldn't give you numbers for that, but I'm assuming it'd be pricy. The intake itself isn't expensive, but that looks like some serious body work.

my advice would be to start asking around as to who pulls frames/unibodies and find someone with the equipment.

I have a friend who has a frame stretch rack and does body paint work cheap if anyone locally needs help in that area pm me. They do great work for a good price which is hard to find with body work.

Yeah, if the frame is bent, it'll be way up there.

Is the frame bent?

Actually, looking at it, it might have missed it. It's hard to tell from the picture.. but I guess that is just the fender and quarter panel thats pushed in. Of all the car vs. tree's I've seen, they usually wreck the frame.

Is the car driveable? (Aside from the intake issue)

looks like the front sub-frame might have gotten off easy there... Just a lot of fender damage.

Well, let's hope for that. Body work isn't too bad, usually you can find a distant relative who does it. lol. But for the frame to be bent is a real headache
