Default XJ door adjustment

I've searched and can't find the answer so I started my own thread. The driver's side door to my '00 XJ doesn't seem to latch tightly when closed. By that I mean that when closed I can see a thin bead of light coming in the seam around the top front area of the door where it curves along the front of the window. I have ordered new hinge pins, but is that enough to cause the door to be out like that when closed?

One of my jeeps was like that, it was caused by a collision in the front. Maybe your jeep was in a fender bender one day and fixed before u got it

doesn't look like it. Just appears the door is ever so slightly off somehow

Think I may have found the problem. Was comparing it to the passenger side and discovered that there is a secondary or auxiliary piece of weatherstripping about 2' long or so that the drivers side is missing. Not sure what it's officially called or a part number though?
