xj axle swap
ok i have a few questions,
i would like to do a complete axle swap
and i would like to use chevy axles
i know the chevy front will be passenger side drop so what is the best way to overcome this?
i have herd of transfer case swaps
and is there a axle that i could use with manual hubs?
i have a 89 jeep xj 4.0 4x4

I guess you could adapt a Dana 300 t-case to work but you will need to redo the exhaust. I just finished a swap in my 97 and I used Ford axles. 44 front 60 rear. If you go that route don't use a 44 with cast wedges, mine came from a F250 with leaves. Also the 78-79 Dana 60 fronts from F350 work great just a bit more coin. If you can find them, Wagoneer 44s are the same width although I would use a rear 44 out of an Isuzu for the disc brakes (same width and same 6 lug bolt pattern).
