When I made a set of bastard packs I put in a set of oe bushings and they have been great.

I recommend putting some anti-seize on the leaf spring bolts so they don't seize to the collar on the inside of the bushings.
Yeah the lift is a long way off so I have time for some more in depth research, good tip on the anti seize I'm hoping I'll never have to take them out but it'll be nice if I do.

I figured as much, besides when I'm blasting my sub I don't hear anything lol.

How worried should I be here?

Did a coolant flush last summer? Summer before? changed the water pump, thermostat, and radiator cap.

In the last couple of weeks I would occasionally detect a faint coolant smell. It has been very intermittent and very faint--to the point that I was mostly convinced I was smelling coolant leaks from other cars.

Yesterday I popped the hood to check my coolant level and the reservoir is completely empty.

I'm not running hot or anything, and my heat works just fine.

Totally agree.

If any door opened after the REMOTE stopped the engine, it would disable the remote start.
May have been tied into remote door locks also, that you needed to do a remote lock first, and unlock would also disable it. The only loophole I can see is if you left a window open, and somebody reached through the window to put it into gear.
Yeah... probably not doing anything very elaborate.
At first I was going to use a garage door opener for my trans/rec, but decided that after I did all the circuitry, the range would be too short.
I found a very cheap remote starter on eBay for $35 refurbished. It doesn't do very much which is fine since my Jeep has no electric anything in it. Claims it has a 300yd range. If it has 25, I'll be happy!

This will start it and tell me it's running. All I really need.

If you take the neutral safety switch off the tranny to clean it, can you drive the Jeep with it removed?

How much does it matter which bearing cap goes to which side and which side is up or down? When I pulled the front diff apart both caps were swapped and upside down. Also, how freely should the oil slinger on the pinion between the bearing and pinion move back and forth or at all?

My coolant has been vanishing for about 8 years, I just keep adding more.

Does anyones steering wheel make odd squeals when it's about 20 degrees? It only happens when first driving it, and I cranking the wheel.

Yeah the rubber seal where the shaft goes through the firewall is the culprit. Cold = no slidey. Some lube will fix it up, silicone spray etc

I dunno about his situation but sometimes people just plain don't care especially if they already have a spare or a built engine waiting to go in. I'm doing that right now
