XJ 92 always in 4x4 full time

Hi there

Just have a doubt. Recently went for an off road trip and had my 4x4 full time engaged. But coming back on the pavement, the 4x4 doesnt seems to disengage. How can i find out if it is back in 2wd ????

Jack up one front wheel and see if it will rotate. If it doesn't, you're still in 4wd.

You shifted it back into 2WD and the light stayed on? Or was there any resistance when you shifter the transfer case?
