wrong coolant sensor?

wrong coolant sensor?
1996 XJ classic.
I recently replaced my power steering pump, and to get to one of the lower bolts I removed the coolant temp sensor located on the t-stat housing. Like a total idiot, I lost the damn thing. Got a new one from Autozone, and it doesn't fit the plug. Checked O'Riley as well, and they wanted to give me the same part. Any ideas?
