Write-up for 99 Heater core replacement?
Yes, I'm sorry.. I'm asking THAT question again. I did search the forum, and also the I-net, but I keep getting the same write-up that has no pictures from another forum.
I have the FSM but I know there is a way to pull the dash and just lay it on the passenger seat.
Anyone have a good write-up for the job?
Thanks,
JR

yeah, that's the one I'm talking about... no photos.
I can get through it without the pics if there is nothing else.
Thanks,
JR

Heater core
I just wanted to let you know that I replaced my heater core on my 97 in october. I glanced through the PDF that was posted and while it is a good reference, you do not have to remove the seats or steering column to get the HVAC box out. I took the steering wheel off along with most of the plastic dash trim and then pulled the passenger side of the dash away from the firewall just enough to get the box out. Also, just a side note, but if you plan on reusing the foam around the heater core tubes (at the firewall) be very careful when removing the foam because it's probably brittle.
I sort of did a write up at the link below so you can read through it if you want but it doesn't have pictures and probably isn't complete.

Feel free to ask questions though.
